I have to talk POLISH!

Quote:
You would get Buff Laced females and "Yellow" Laced males.

The males would carry 1 copy of the gold and 1 copy of the silver gene.

Breeding the offspring together (Yellow Laced male/F1 X Buff Laced female/F1) would result in many different colors, Silver Laced, Buff Laced, Gold Laced, "Yellow" Laced and offspring that appears to be completely white, though genetically it would be a white bird with silver lacing.

Jeremy,

I am always impressed by your knowledge of genetics and your willingness to share.

Anytime!

I'm always happy to share what I do know.

My knowledge of genetics is limited, I really only know what I've researched... my understanding is like the tip of an iceberg, there's so much more hidden underneath the water that I have no clue about!

bath time for the birds today getting ready for the show this weekend. I had just taken this girl out of the sink and was standing talking to my son when he got this horrfied look on his face and says "Mom! Your bird!!!" I look down and laughed and told him she was just falling asleep. LOL

Hello Everyone! I posted a couple months back and was trying to figure out if my Polish Bantam, Beldar, was a pullet or cockerel. I was so sad when he started crowing!
