probably a dominant hen. I have Polish hens who will spar with each other like roosters and have had some with spurs. Your hen (unless it is a hen-feathered rooster, but I've only seen that in bantams once or twice) has rounded crest feathers, light even ground color (the brown, which would be much darker in the neck, saddle and shoulder of most roosters), no wattles (many bearded males will have small wattles as well) and you're rarely going to find a male with that much lacing throughout the body. Also the hackle, crest and saddle feathers would be much longer, thinner, curved and pointy at the end in a rooster.How do you know that? None of my Polish have tails...the bigger boys keep plucking them out! Woof acts like a rooster, but hasn't crowed...? I would like to know for sure...I'm getting rid of some of the roos~I want to make absolutly sure...............thanks!
