minnehaha,
No satisfying yipe yipe yet,
I saw two foxes across the street last year (I border farm land and mostly pseudo rural housing) There are coyotes around, SE PA so still hit or miss, and I am a tree hugger, so glad to see em. No bears or bobcats or mountain lion sightings, but bobcats are supposed to be about down here.
My Dad's neighbor, next to Valley Forge State Park, had chickens and a game cam. He showed a "fox" to my Dad. "Hmmm, that is no fox, you have a coyote", said my Dad.
Anywhoo. I think fox arent used to coming in my yard, though not delusional, they surely have been, along with deer and all other critters.
Anyway, we are in the world together. People have ways to keep "OUR" things safe. So far so good. I have alot of things working for me, and I am not lazze faire about what goes on outside.
I love and hate the baby monitor....I love that I hear outside all the time (who knew there was so much going on?) but I hate that when the wind blows a tarp against the porch it sounds like a fox digging at the pop door (but now i know what the tarp sounds like, I can ignore it, learning curve)
I would recommend electric and a baby monitor to anybody just starting out, to avoid crazy random mysterious losses.
Thanks so much for the reply!!!!
