Our goose is the head spokesman in our bunch, Muscovies very quiet! If we leave the back door open he walks right in and wants to know where is bread is, sometimes the girls will follow.

My Cayuga drake actually DOES knock... At the wall under my living room window.

He also waltzes right in, with his lady, Thelma, through the back, kitchen door if I've left it open. The security screen doesn't latch unless it's dead-locked. He bills the screen open, they saunter in, and start in on the dog kibble. With a refreshing, after-snack dabble in the dogs' Bistro waterer.

They skedaddle out if they hear me on the porch, returning. I have taken to approaching that door from the off side, over leaf litter, to catch them IN the house, not just exiting through the screen door.
