I heard an owl by the coop last night

I'm pretty sure the girls are safe but you still worry. 1/2 hardware cloth covers all the windows and such. What do owls do when there is wire like that? Try to get in anyway?

They may try but the rat wire will keep 'em out. It's strong stuff.

I bet the owl is more likely after mice and other night time critters.
I doubt an owl would try a night time hennapping.

We have owls around here from time to time. They set off the motion sensor lights and of course I go to see what is near the coop. They always have a rodent.
