They are supposed to weigh 6 lbs for a mature cock, and 4 for a mature hen. It takes 2 years for a male to mature. None of my birds have ever topped 4-5 pounds. Sometimes the angle of the tail will drop after the first molt. When I say what breeding, I guess I mean what bloodline. Or, what the source was. They look sort of like they have some old english/american game blood in there somewhere.
As a breed the temperament is very good. I can promise you they will raise chicks this year if you let them. They make great broodies.
