I hope this Barred Rock is a hen,,9 wks old

just for your fyi, the reason they are asking for better pics is to see the feather shapes around the tail area. in addition, they need to see the neck feathers. this will give them an idea on the answer.
Actually at 9 weeks it is still too young to be displaying male specific hackle, saddle and sickle feathers. The comb is usually the best indicator, so a close up of the head might be helpful. My gut feeling is that this is a mixed breed bird and not a barred rock and it may therefore be male despite it's dark barring.
The comb appears quite pink and those shanks as someone else mentioned are like tree trunks and the overall stance is quite upright.

@louloubell2017 Can you tell us where you got the eggs from and are you sure it was a pure barred rock egg?

I agree. And I can see its comb a bit better in the newer picture. I think it is a mixed breed cockerel, but clearer pictures would still help.
 
ok luckily its snowing and the little ones went in to roost already,,they may be confused..lol
