I hope this Barred Rock is a hen,,9 wks old

Actually I just checked the OP's intro thread and she is in Colorado, so yes an araucana would be rumpless. It should also have slate legs I believe and as you say, it has no obvious tufts, so not looking much like an araucana at all!

Oh I do see the lighter pink and not so much growth on the pink,,dang,,I hope its not so but Ive been thinking its sooo big too..Maybee Ill try a anticrow collar,and Aracana/mix other chick does look like some of the pics Ive seen..anyway she probably an Easter egger like you say,,thats a mixed breed Arucana,Americauna,and maybee other all in one..Its nice to hear all of this,learn new stuff all the time
 
Crowing might not be the worst of the problems! If you don't have enough females, over mating can be a real problem with adolescent males once their hormones kick in. They can strip the feathers off the backs of the hens in short time. I would also start keeping it more at a distance. Cockerels that are hand raised and petted can become overly comfortable and familiar with people and that can translate to lack of respect towards you when they mature. Lack of respect can lead to aggression. The friendliest cockerels as chicks can suddenly become scarily aggressive as adults. Adolescent males that are brought up in an environment without a mature rooster to teach them manners are more likely to become aggressive in my opinion. Just things to be aware of that you may not have considered.
