Last friday at an auction i purchased 20 mature coturnix quail ended up with 14 roos 6 hens i have been getting 2-3 eggs per day and today got 4 . i have 3 incubators a 1202 a 1200 and a lg styro bator i have never used the lg , Rght now i am setting the quail eggs every couple days in a staggered hatch in the 1202 because it is partially loaded anyway but i imagine after a while that is going to become tiresome with the constant hatching so what does everyone else with a small number of birds do when hatching their own eggs ? i am used to having 300+ in the 1202 and hatching in the 1200 but i am about done hatching large batches for the year and i want to start building my quail numbers and not waste the eggs and dont really want to keep the large incubator running with just a few eggs in it
