Ohh how sweet! I just read this entire thread. Love the nests! We just had some blue birds build in a decorative bird house. We watched as they peeped, and grew, and then one day, they were gone. I was so excited though, and am going to make more birdhouses with that same size hole. I LOVE the Eastern Bluebirds!!!
Hummingbirds are enjoying my flowers right now. I'm sure they have nests near, but I've no idea where. And their nests are so tiny that I wouldn't notice them at all.
Earlier this spring I watched out my craft room window as thousands of praying mantis hatched. So tiny. Glad I finally figured out what those brown masses on my bushes were though, because I was afraid it was some kind of fungus that was going to kill the plants. Now when I'm working in the flower beds, I have to move a few praying mantis so they won't get hurt. Wish they would move near the coop and eat some flies! LOL!
