I can send you one too. You can raise them and then the U.K. will have some too. Wouldn't that be fun?

Any other preditory wildlife I can help with?

Hi there Reg,

I'm Cindy and live in Redhill, so not far from you! I've had chickens for a year and love it. I have 3 bantams at the moment who have just started laying! This is highly addictive and if i had a bigger garden i'd have more! What are you planning to get, and how many?

This website is the best for information and help! Love ya BYC

Thank you for your welcome

Glad your enjoying your birds.

First question. ( bet I get shot down in flames LOL ) you say your getting more chickens. Do the older birds not go for the newcomers ?

Remember uk have small gardens mostly not large yards so space is tight !

Maybe not from England but New England.

Most of us replace our flocks every couple of years for egg production. Some keep the same hens for the life of the hens. It all depends. The ones that replace their flocks, like myself retire their birds to freezer camp. It is all up to you.

You can't beat the info to glean here.

Now I have a vision of thousands of raccoons being mailed to Luton.

Reg,

Step away from the boxes.

I can do that too! Not here but back in the Bay Area.

Look at how many spieces of animals and birds (including chickens) were brought over from that side.

Share and share alike!
