If you can't do the deed maybe others will.

Hunting squirrels is a good/easy to get kids into hunting and teach them the basics. Maybe you have family members into hunting that could help out or neighborhood kids?

You could offer them peanuts. Squirrels love peanuts and they might leave everything else alone. Or.... you will just have more squirrels around. Peanuts pieces can be costly if you have alot of squirrels around.

Or become a crazy cat lady with 15 cats or so and that should take care of the squirrels.

No fresh pears...that is a shame.
