the coop can fit up to 6 chickens up its the running space that might not be enough

How large is the run, in feetxfeet? How large is the coop? Pictures may help. Are the nesting boxes internal or external?

My wife was meeting someone in the TSC parking lot, to get a new rooster. While waiting she went in to use the restroom and texted me pictures of chicks. I had to talk her out of coming home with them. Lol. Congratulations and good luck.

its not a run its just a fenced in area with T Posts and chicken wire its a lot of space its just that they are probably going to kill the grass very fast and their old area is still dead but its growing a little bit i bought a chicken coop from tractor supply https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/producers-pride-mini-defender-coop-mdc001

i went to tractor supply on Thursday and i got 3 rode island red and 1 Ameraucana their 3 days old and they are super cute and i cant wait to see what they end up looking like.View attachment 2300712

One thing though, yours look a little too hot. See how they are crowded in the corner as far from the heat lamp as possible?

Usually that means they are too hot. I'd lift the heat lamp a little more. If it's too hot in there they can get pasty butt.

Otherwise, love your chicks and good luck with them! I've always loved RIRs.
