I bought them from a private owner and he has so many breeds that he couldn't remember what kind it was. They are black with puffy heads and they have a green tint in their wings and back when they are in the sun.

I'd say mixed breed.

if any body wants to toss up names of crested breeds, they need to have perfectly straight single combs too. I can't think of one with this combination of traits. Besides legbars but are there any solid black ones in US? They'd cost way more than 20 each though.
