I just hatched my first goose egg!

Mine took 38 hours to start zipping and an hour to zip

Oh my gosh my first one just hatched!!!!! It was a perfect hatch! Another one is close behind! They are American buff geese.
What brooder temp do you put them in I’m going to have to put it with my little chickens I only have one heat lamp the other didn’t come in yet

I’m editing because the other just hatched! Yey two besties I put all the chickens together and am going to separate the two geese for tonight

Yay!!! Congratulations! I do 90 degrees on the hot side. They don't get cold very easily, they're much harder than chicks. I would be worried about your chick being too cold or getting trampled depending on how old it is. Any pics of your new baby? American Buffs sound so sweet, I bet you'll love them! Geese have such unique personalities!

There’s mama and dad they are extremelyyyy fearful I don’t think they got a lot of human interaction. So I will raise the babies in hopes of them being more friendly. Im so excited I loveeee goslings they are my fav baby!

I hope so! I only raised one of the geese I have from a gosling he’s kind of friendly he’s sweet though not mean at all. I have my 4th! It’s resting in the incubator the others are adorable fluffs now. Can’t believe how big they are just hatched

Urgh I do believe they have but we planned to sell them. My fiancé ordered rare breed day olds a lot of females all but one. So it will be 7 more plus our 5. If we keep these it will be 16!!! I feel like that’s too many geese lol but they are sooooo cute. Even my fav chick little foot likes them
