I just hatched some new babies. Anyone else?!?

I just hatched some chicks. 1 showgirl (possibly frizzle), 2 polish (white crested blue), and 5 of my own breed I am trying to make (Sebright Cochin cross frizzles). I hatched them on Christmas and was wondering if there was any advice for raising chicks in the winter. I know if is probably stupid but the rooster I wanted to use for breeding died so I had to hatch the eggs now. All advice for winter brooding is welcome. (Stories and pictures are also welcome) :D :):D:wee

Here are my chick pics. At least two of the small ones are frizzles
Oh my gosh! Super cute!! Especially the last one!!! I am in love with hatching too but I like to do it with mumma hen. Just keep food and water as near to the warm nest as possible, I reckon!

I also have 11 babies hatched approx. 2 weeks prior to Christmas.

Most of the older babies have moved to the outdoor brooder (dog crate) in the big coop. The three newest and a few of the bigger babies are still in my spare bedroom. I think this is a great time to hatch becasue the pullets will be ready to lay early in the spring... assuming I get any girls in this group. It's only my second winter clutch. Last year's Christmas Clutch was 4/5 boys, and this year I have an awful lot of boyish mannered chicks...
What mixes do you think they are. They are cute. You have they same luck as me (too many boys) I hope you get more hens than last time. How long do you wait before you take your chicks outside when you do a winter hatch (temp, age)? Feel free to post more pics/updates.

I would much rather use a mumma too. Less work you know!?! I have only had 2 of my chickens go broody, but that was in previous years. :D

Oh my goodness! So adorable! Great pictures too! :love

I‘m going to try to. I have a small pond in my chicken lot I have to fill in first before I can thought (its just a hole full of water). I don’t want another silkie to drown in it like the one other one I had.
Silkies are smart said no one ever.

Marsha especially is mentally challenged or something, but we love her.

I just hatched 4 of 12 on 12/21 they were shipped so I expected a low hatch and just set 12 yesterday I had shipped hopefully a better hatch rate this time. The 4 are inside in my Den. I also have 10 of 10 I hatched for my niece (from her girls) not shipped. They are now 7 weeks and are in the grow out coop in my laundry room and are thriving. Just make sure you keep temperatures warm enough for the. Here are some pictures of the babies and my girls that are in the big coop

Congrats on your new babies, really wish I could jump on that happy train. Sadly our one fertile chick egg ended up being a quitter at 19 days of incubation, the mama was doing such a great job for being a first time mom. I had been looking forward to having a new chicken addition to the coop after loosing so many this year.

I did have 2 baby ducks out of 9 eggs survive, though they sent small babies any more. One being born the 6th and one the 13th
