can you sprinkle the DE around the perimeter of your house? It should stop them from coming in I'd think. So many uses for DE... pesticide is one of them

I have them too and i HATE them, between those, boxelders, and asian beetles(looks like ladybugs) I am infested, The chickens don't go near any of them, you would think they would be all over those asian beetles but i guess they know better lol. Guess i better get in that crawl space with the DE and start dusting lol

No-pest strips are good for these, we get them too. Also good in coops to assist in mite, tick, lice control. Can be used in houses, restaurants, hospitals- contain dichlorovos. Last about 3 months at full strength.

Available at most hardware stores, ag supply stores, co-ops, TSC, tack shops-

Excellent in porches to catch invaders at source.

These bugs stink so bad they are probably the taste equivalent of that foul fruit the 'bizarre food' guy hates!

Funny I found one at work the other day. I suspect it was hibernating or something cause it fell into my hair when I was welding a column to an inbed plate in a concrete floor (it seemed preaty sluggish upon it's landing). That parts kinda gross, but I didn't notice any smell, though since I was also surrounded with the smells of welding and burning paint that I was welding through.

But just delight a few of the readers here I'll share the rest of the story. I don't like bugs falling in my hair, so I pushed it into the path of my next weld, and now part of it I'm sure is forever encased in the next weld I then laid down.

But I do find it strange that I happened onto this post 2 days after the incident. And I only remember it cause I think it's the first time I remember seeing one and made a mental note of what it looked like cause I was curious as what kind of bug it was. Glad it wasn't a good bug, then I'd feel kinda bad. My wife hates the fact that I don't kill spiders, I catch and release them outside since they help keep the bad bugs at bay.

Ah yes, "stink bugs" as we used to call them growing up. I was raised in eastern WA and in one particular house, they were super bad. In fact, you were guaranteed to find at least two in your bed every night when you did a "cover check". (Much better to tear the bed apart before getting into it than to fall peacefully asleep only to be awakened a bit later by their raspy little legs creeping up your body and that distinctive aroma curling out from under the covers like a radioactive fart) By the way, we always thought they sort of smelled like green apple sour candies, in a bad way.
