* Did you mean me, Wildsky? We have an angel smilie?? Which one is it?

Nah, Wildsky was poking fun at me. In my last post I wanted an angel smiley, so I used this one

. I had to go hunting for an angel smiley, BYC didn't have one.

I didn't even realize the halo "went out" on this one until I had posted. LOL

My daughter, Kate, is a "living foods" instructor and travels around the world going to seminars and classes. She's also a Bikram yoga instructor. She's also a vegetarian. If she ever came on this forum criticizing topics or peoples descriptions of preparing their birds for cooking, claiming to be just tooooo sensitive to read about so and so (i.e., the posters aren't)... she'd get an earful from me. That's no problem though because she would never even consider doing such a thing.

Fellow vegetarian here....I actually started a topic in the Meat Birds forum because even though I don't eat meat, I have found myself addicted to that forum. I know it's not realistic to expect everyone in this world to adopt my viewpoint and stop eating meat. I guess I take some comfort in knowing that the people on that thread are taking good care of their birds, and giving them a happy healthy life up until processing time. I would much rather see any animal have a life like that, then what they end up with in a commercial growing operation.

I don't see criticism or complaining, Joe. I think the OP is opening a good dialog and discussion and we can respond civilly.

And your daughter is welcome anytime to open a discussion as well.

When I click the "Show Recent Posts" link at the very bottom left of the screen (which is how I read BYC forum....keeping up with what is recent) I get the following screen:

I can clearly see the 2nd column where it states what forum each post is from - that way I can avoid any "Meat Birds ETC", or Pests/Predator posts if I wanted to.

Am I the only one who sees this column??

Really? Personally I think the OP is subtly/"sweetly/nicely" putting down a lot of forum members while asking them to understand her, and I'm reading a lot of replies from forum members who resent having to defend their eating habits to anybody.
