I understand. I was skeptical about a GP having those markings the first time I saw them. But I've seen pics of the parent dogs and pics of previous litters. Here's the mom dog, and I'll post one of the daddy too....the sire is the one that's got the badger markings.

I googled the whole badger marking thing, and it says they usually fade a great deal within the first 2 years. I don't know how to post links, but I found a few that look like your puppy and they looked adorable as older pups, and beautiful as adults. Can't wait to see new pics, they grow so fast!

I can't wait to see new pics too! The only ones I have so far are the week and a half old pics. I'll probably email and ask for new ones

I think they look really neat with the badger markings on them. They do grow fast! I know I'll be caught between wanting him to grow up so he can do his job effectively and wanting him to stay small and cute. I think they are pretty stately dogs. I love to see them laying and observing in a goat field.

Oh that's fantastic! I know I'm sure looking forward to getting mine. It'll be the first one I've ever had....but I think its going to turn into a lifelong thing...

Oh very good! I just looked at the pics on their website and the pups are precious!! I really like the ones that have the light tan badger markings. Very nifty!

The father of your puppy is just gorgeous! I've wanted a G.P.-----they do great outside in the winter. I won't be getting any dog for quite awhile though----we have a GSD and she's great guarding the flock and going out with me to do chores. I don't know whether we will get a G.P., Border Collie or another GSD in the future. Good luck with your beautiful puppy!

Thank you! We also have a GSD but she tends to like to play with the flock a little more than watch over them! I'm really looking forward to having a dog that I know can totally take care of himself.
