i just set 192 eggs

I do that too with my sportsman. I set eggs every Sunday and hatch every weekend. I put as many eggs in per week that my 14 BR's (RIR Roo= BSL's). I sell the boys for $1 each at 3 days old and sell the girls for $3 at 3 days and $.50 for each week as they grow. As I type this, I can hear peeping coming from all the pips and zips in the hatcher.

Goodmorning -If I may join this group I set 48 eggs on wed the 3rd, first time attempt. Delawares, Hampshires, Barred Rock, and a couple Buff Orf. --As a kid we used sitting hens, but like I say first time with an Incubator. Good luck all of you, and those are nice looking trays 192

NOT funny!

192 hens would be a lot. Then add to that 192 chicks.
I can't image 400 birds unless I was a hatchery.

I can't imagine the time invested to take care of them or the food costs. I can't imagine the coop resources.

192 eggs.

I think I need pictures of the coop / run set up. I just can't picture anything that big!

I see the pictures of the eggs and still can't picture it.

40 hens laying over 5 days would give you more than 192 eggs... if each hen laid an egg a day.
I have about 40 chickens... that's really not that many.
Figure that they all won't make it to hatch.
I have orders for a lot of my chicks... they're sold before they hatch.
192 isn't really that many to set.
