I just set 42 TJs Fertile Eggs! >>>>>Final Count 32!!!!

I'm too new to give advice , watching your hatch is the most experience I have
big_smile.png
and I'm at least twice your age . I do want to say thank you for the experience , better entertainment then anything I can think of and very educational . I'm sure watching your incubator will benefit me when I get to hatch some for myself [ God willing ] .

When was the first pip? Chicks can go up to 48 hours in the incubator but I don't like to go past 36.

Also depends on when your last pip is. Have anymore pipped in the last 4-6 hours? If not you can possibly sneak the babies out quick and spray some warm water into the bator. Not on the eggs though.

The problem is when there are pips, then the membrane dries out. It isn't quite as bad to open if there are no pips. I still hate to open it though because sometimes there are pips that you don't see.

First pips were around 1pm yesterday. I don't know if there are any new pips in the last 4-6 hours because the eggs keep getting moved by the other chicks.

I have about 8 more that are pipped and I don't want to open the bator but I have to get them out tomorrow around noon.

I've been glued to your cam all day. Well, whenever I could. It's so fun to see them hatch. It makes me want to set one up for my own hatch early next week. So fun!

Thanks for sharing your hatch with us, I'm really enjoying it.

The Genesis manufacturer and Trader Joe company ought to pay you a million ; that livestream is better than any form of advertising they can buy !

yeah really, huh? i cannot say enough about that genesis bator. It makes everything SO EASY and fool proof.

and look how fresh the eggs are!!!

Congratulations, Slickchick! (and welcome to the TJ's club) heehee

In my experience, the hatches with these guys take a loooong time. I would just let it ride for a day or two. The peeps don't need anything from you and you don't want to open the 'bator.

I have used black paper to cover the incubator windows and put them to bed when they were too rowdy.

You'll probably be able to tell the roosters starting at about a week old. You may even have some suspicions earlier than that. They mature fast and are little baby roosters in every way.
