I just set 5-21-11 in my home made incubator

I've got a pip!!!

My temp got to 104 the other day too chicksntx. I'm still hopeful.

Well so here I am at 1:30 in the morning out of bed to look in the incubator.

I've got 2 pipped now and you can hear cheeping coming from them if you wait long enough. The original pip is probably doubled in size but still taking their own sweet time. Looks like everything is running right on schedule for now.
Gonna be a long day for me I think.

I so hope I get some to hatch!! I keep checking...even shine a flashlight in there just to make sure I can see them good...

So now I have 3 of my 5 pipped. The original one that was pipped yesterday has about a dime sized area of the shell cracked, but I still can't see the baby. My wife is really making fun of me now.... "is that all your gonna do? Sit on the floor and stare into that beer cooler?"

I just had one hatch. The whole family got to watch it. The kids are so excited.

yippee, thats great matlock!

i have 8 hatched now 2 pips and 9 non movers. not looking hopeful for the pekins, when i candled them they didn't look great, a bit porous and 2 had goo on the outside. one of the pekins hatched yesterday but there has been no signs of life from the other 4.

shame cos the wee one that hatched is so adorable.

fingers crossed for more fuzzys from everyone soon.

(I am already planning my next batch as i'm incubating this lot for a friend and they'll be collected from me tomorrow so i'm planning a batch for me to keep next).

just managed to source some sizzle eggs so i'm hyper excited now!!!
