Okay, I must comment that this is probably the most adorable thing I have EVER seen on BYC! And I thought I pampered my chickens....

Wow I just went to pick some berries...whatdidi miss?

Meh, I dunno how cutting myself ended up with blood tests and a month of recovery; its in the past.... Lol but my point was actually just that literally, I think my animals are cleaner than people

Off to kiss my Big Bird; he missed me and needs his momma to snuggle him before bed.... Then I get to go kiss my husband and make sure I brush my teeth and wash my hands

I'd go for a poll lol...I already know I'm one of "those" people

*just thought of something...I fed chickens, gave them treats, picked berries, ate berries, made coffee...um...still haven't washed my hands

.... That's going to be a hard habit to change lol

Funny thing is, the very same thing has been happening to me lately. Right after picking up the girls and giving them hugs and kisses, I'll go eat a couple apples from our orchard or some mulberries.....and then the realization hits me: I never washed my hands!

Ha!

I really don't mind it too much, although I wash them once I'm back in the house. Who knows, though, I might not happen to be back inside for an hour or so.

I am with Blooie on this one. I don't kiss chickens, either. I have seen what they touch with their beaks!.......

I never kiss their beaks, either. That's just not appealing, but I DO kiss their soft heads or fluffy backs. It's so fun!

Hey Blooie, set it up! I think it would be interesting...and since its a blind poll, people would be more apt to HONESTLY admit they kiss/ snuggle their birds... If be willing to bet it would be hmmmm...65% of members smooch or snuggle

Oh yeah, most definitely, I don't kiss them on the beak. Owie heads yes, snoosh my face into some wings? You betcha

I'm too paranoid of them thinking my mouth has food in it lol, but if there ever is a post on here entitled, "my chicken bit my lip", I will probably be the author

A person who I'm baby sitting* a pair of goats for  and is, in outwards appearances, an adult in complete possession of their mental faculties, kissed my BR pullet, Jelly Bean, several times on the neck and head. Jelly Bean has been outside, free ranging with the flock, rolling on the ground and just being a normal chicken. 


*. She/he conned me into taking two disagreeable goats because he/she was "going to travel around the country with his/her kids". Turns out they just went to a town a long distance from here and purchased over a hundred acres of land. So the goats will go back to him/her.

Do you REALLY think this person hasn't SEEN this post and figured it out by now? ROFL....

We're you giving the goats back because you were grossed out, or because he/she bamboozled you into their awnry goats?

Lol well that's why I brought up the knife too... All my life on a farm poking myself with dirty sheep needles and licking my fingers after working calves.... I got sick from a dirty people germ lol...

Trust me, I've had my lips and teeth pecked so many times that I've lost count!
