Thanks everyone. Well day (and night) 2 went off without a hitch. This thing holds temps steady as a rock. I wonder if its the double pains of glass I used or what. I dont know but so far so good! I cant wait to candle in a couple of more days! JEN

Well today is day 3. temps were steady all night but it did get hot in the house yesterday and the bator went up to 103 for a short time. I hope I caught it in time or I fear for the worst. I will candle tomorrow night and see if I see anything going on in there. JEN

Your incubator looks great, I have just hatched a chick, only 1 out of 12 eggs set but I thought that was great for a homemade incubator. I also use a dimmer switch but might upgrade to a thermomstat for next time.
