I'm ready for some action. To make matters worse...I have a horse that is 330 days gestation. Average for a horse is 340...so I keep staring at her too...

I am still right there with you...nothing. It will be 21 days at 2:00 pm eastern time for me. There is no moving, no peeping, no pips yet. I guess it's still wait and stare

Oh no! My horse went 355 days! I thought they were going to have to hospitalize me that last week!!!!!! (And when she DID decide to deliver, it was text-book perfect. I filmed the whole thing. Only caught it because I kept staring!)

Have your heard of the milk testing...you express milk from the mare and then use a spa test strip to test the milk. When the calcium goes up and the ph goes down they will foal withing 24 hours. Has worked like a charm for me... have used it twice and each time the mare had the foal that night. Only have had to sleep in the barn twice.

On another very happy note...I now have eggs that are wiggling every so slightly and her some chirping....

My vet wasn't the slightest bit concerned - with the mare. (Me, another story ....

) The hard part for me was waiting for that 24 hour notice!!!!! ( Which was absolutely accurate and is the real reason I got to film the whole thing.)

Congratulations on the wiggling and chirping!!!!! I look forward to seeing pictures!

I have my first chick but I can't upload an image. I think I am too new of a member to load images. I read where they weren't letting new members upload images to try to deter spammers...
