Well that doesn't sound so bad. Is there anything you can tell about gender? Curious, is your chicken tethered?

I don't know what your chicken is but it looks pretty. Agree that chickens does look tethered.

I do love this little chick. Even though the little booger is one of the least friendly of the group. He/she doesn't much like to be held like the others.

she was tethered for the picture as they (all my chickens) wont hold still for a picture. With her tied I could get a picture without chasing her and no one else jumping in front of her. Sumatras are great free ranging and can be flighty, but if you keep messing with them, they ain't to bad. I have a young sumatra now that insists on being near me or held by one of my kids.

This little one is 4 weeks and two days. I know, cause I was there when he/she hatched ;-)

at just over a month old, yeah I'm pretty sure its a rooster. But they get to be very pretty, here's one of my roosters

What a pretty rooster! I've had a nagging fear that my Smoky might be a he because I've seen a lot of "nose to nose dancing" going between him and this one:

I'm also curious about breed and gender for him her. Came out of a White ish egg too.

as a chick that looks eggs-actly like my cream legbar chick. perhaps my eye banding is a bit darker, but the egg color and bird color is wrong.
