That is amazing! My son and I went out the other day to look at the area where our future coop is located and discuss our ventilation options and possible relocation areas. I like where our building is now, but our neighbors may not. Their Bradford pears only stink us out when they bloom. Chickens have the potential to stink year-round, lol. I plan to use the DLM, but I have to assume that even with that, there may be smells from time to time.I hear you I am the same way. Here is a project you can work on after you have them and they are growing as a place to introduce new ones or as a jail for bad girls or even sick ones that don't need to come in the house. We put it at the end of the run and made a wall with a door that is open when the area isn't being used. It is an armoire I turned into a mini coop. I did change the roost bar from the original placement and put it corner to corner, also I would add plywood to the sides to make it deeper if I did it again. I may even do that after my broody girl and babies are out of it. The last picture is of another one that did the roost bars different I really like this idea it gives them plenty of room to roost.
