Alaska Fish and Game is very, very strict about introduced species in Alaska, as well as any species that could potentially carry disease to our existing wildlife. I'm sure the justification is in there somewhere. I just can't see Emus or Ostrich getting loose and starting rampant populations though. Talk about bear bait! All the big brownies would be thinking "forget salmon, I'm having giant chicken tonight!"
