Work out the dosage and give the injections (sterile solution, I'm assuming).

Find out where and how to prepare any of the birds that don't make it to get in for a necroscopy (really need a definitive diagnosis - if it is H.G. then remediation of runs/mandatory worming schedule will be in order in future).

hen 1 expired. I was told to take a look at the liver if its black head there should be lesions or necrotic areas. I will do a worming anyways to be sure. most people i talk to use ivromec drench on the skin. would that be a good choice?

The reason i was having issues with the dosing is because it is "50-65 mg/kg"... the medication measure is weight. Mine is a liquid, so i need to know how many CC or ml or something per body weight. I still have 1 hen in decent condition but she shows alot of the same symptoms, so i want to treat her before its too late.

Sorry about the girl.

The med you have should have insert (or insert available on web) with mg/ml. 1cc=1ml

definitely blackhead. I have some photos if anyone wishes to see them, they are by nature, graphic.

I have 1 other hen that shows symptoms, but i assume the other 9 in that flock will have been exposed and should be treated. I can use the metronidazole IM on the for sure sick hen, but wont have enough to dose them all. I was reading that flagyl (apparently the same thing) comes in a form that you use in their water (was unclear if it was water soluble or if it was liquid...) is anyone familliar with that?
I'm thinking i should treat all the turkeys and chickens (only 10 turkeys and like 15 chickens)

I have other turkeys and chicks not on the ground yet, what is the best way to treat them (they shouldn't have been exposed yet). by the time i finish treating everyone, will it be away or should i be treating at specific intervals?

Ceace (sp?) when i split open, hard to see but it was all hard and ulcerated, green black and white, irregular walls and irritated/swollen. when i cut it in half the closed end half came out in a solid lump of gawd awfulness, and the other side (that would have opened into the main tract) was solidly lodged there.

As a side note, this bird was built a bit backwards i think too. when i opened her up(butt end) the first thing there was the gizzard... on all the chickens and what not i've done before it was up near the top...
