I know what my blood type is

My ex-husband was B+. I am A- My son is AB- and (thankfully) my daughter is AB+

So does that mean my kids are rare? I always thought they were a wee bit odd LOL
I never knew about the universal recipiant.

Both my hubbie and I are O-. When we had our first child, the doc said he didn't want to be anywhere near the delivery room if our child didn't come out O-.

Two O-'s can only produce O-.

DH is an O- and is the only person in the family who can donate. (I don't weigh enough, how dumb is that?)

He also has great veins so he does pheresis. It takes a long time which is why most people don't want to do it, but it helps alot more people. He donates frequently.

They give him new release movies to watch and cookies and apple juice and all kinds of little promos. Local businesses donate things to the Blood Bank and the BB gives them to high value donors.

Here's to all who can donate and DO!!
