I know you guys aren't doctors, but anyone have an idea?...

In that part of your body are a number of internal organs and tissues that hold everything together and in the correct places. If you are in this much pain since last Wed, and it is not improving, I think you should be checked out by a Dr.
Sorry your got hurt.

Ha! Yes, the hospitals to get annoyed when you "waste" their time (even thought they are there to make sure you really AREN'T dying!!!

Here's some more detail -
It's more of a constant pain...Not throbbing, or stabbing, it's just there (one of those hard to describe pains) It's more noticeable when I bend over/squat (anything that puts pressure on that area). Coughing, sneezing, yelling, contracting muscles in that area all make it hurt. To describe where: (I know that everyone is different, but it gives a general idea) if you put your finger on the front "point" of your pelvis/hip, then go over 3 finger widths, that is where it is. Another way to describe it - belly button, go down and inch, and over 3...The problem area is maybe the size of a golf ball?

Does that help any?

sounds like a cyst .. they give you cramps.. they will be able to tell by doing a sonogram.. easy as pie.. if a cyst ruptured you kinda have to wait it out.. it hurts like crazy. just keep an eye out.. if you feel worse then call.

A great many different things are possible. You could have fractured your pelvis, injured a disc in your back, pulled a groin muscle, broken an ovarian cyst, and a good many other things are possible.

I would suggest you go to your doctor as soon as possible. The pain is continuing, so it needs to be looked at.

I'm not sure I'd go to the emergency room, I'd instead try to get an appointment with the doctor asap.

I had a cyst rupture when I was 14 and had internal bleeding it took 3 days for them to figure out what was going on by that time I was in real trouble when they got into the surgery there was a lot of blood. The doctor said if they had waited much longer I would not have been here. I would call 1st thing in the morning and get into the doctor there are so many different things it could be. I would not take a chance if the pain is still there or getting worse. I hate doctors so I understand. This is one time when you need to go. Good luck and keep up updated.

Yes... it does sound like a cyst to me too.... especially with the bending over part. If the doctor thinks thats what it is... you might want to schedule an appointment with your GY to get screened for polycystic ovary syndrome, just in case. The last time for me with this... the Dr in the ER was initially very doubtful about it, because when he examined me, I was not "off the table and screaming in pain" as he put it LOL. So make sure your Dr understands you have a strong constitution.. hehe! Also... it is along the lines of a female check-up.. so I hope you have a lady Dr!

I would definately go in for an exam. Sounds to me like very classic traumatic hernia. Lower abdomen pressure, changes when you sneeze or cough, different kind of "pressure". My husband recently had hernia surgery for a traumatic injury that was misdiagnosed for 8 months. He was having physical therapy and MRI's and all kinds of stuff before someone looked closely at the MRI enough to realize his abdomenal muscles had a hole in them and fat tissue had pushed through. His hernia was about the size of a golf ball-- not huge but caused him significant pain and cost us a ton of money due to wrong diagnosis for so long.

Oh yeah Jamie! That could be possible too! Good thinking!
Hey Jamie, is it possible, do you know, to get a hernia further up? Like just a little below your ribcage, off to one side? I still wonder about my "mystery ailment"... it went on for about a year.. same symptoms... and it only stopped when I no longer needed to slap out pizza dough all day long. They did a chest X-ray and everything, but never could figure it out....

It doesn't sound consistent with a ruptured cyst to me. I would guess more along the lines of a possibly torn ligament/pulled tendon or something like that. The dr.'s job would be to rule out possible emergency situations. Any diagnosis then gives YOU the options of different treatments. If it is getting worse I would go in. I suppose you have been taking it easy and being careful right...
