I live in Indiana....................

That's what I though. You wouldn't want to put a chicken into a 20 degree coop.

I live in the northern part of Indiana. Near Fort Wayne.

so the chances of getting fertile eggs in the winter aren't as good as getting them in warmer weather. I put an ad on craigslist stating that I wanted some fertile eggs, and got a call from a guy that said he had them all the time. The price isn't going to break me, but knowing that they may or may not be fertile bothers me. I was going to get them after the first of the year. What do you think?

I know I am reviving one of my own old threads. After reading through it again, I seen a question that was not answered.
The "bullseye" that I hear so much about; Will this be there if the eggs are collected daily (sometimes twice a day) and put right into the fridge?

Yes the bullseye will be there regardless on how soon you collect them and whether or not they are stored in the fridge.
