I live in northern California and need help with lighting for the winter

How many hours of light should they have to keep up the egg laying? Why time in the morning do you have your light come on? Thanks!

I put my light on at night and leave it on till 9:45-10:00 PM!

I don't light my coops, but you need about 15 hours of light.
