I lost them all... All 18

So today i got out to my tack room where i keep my brooder and i walk in and i couldn't see the chicks, but i had most of the brooder covered with wood to hold some warmth during the night so i figured they were just out of sight...i walk over and look in and there is nothing in the brooder!!!

all my chicks from my hatch arn't in there and my D'uccle and OEGB Bantams So i freak and run to the house, stand on the porch compose my self and walk over to check the other part of the brooder with my 1 week old Polish and Hamburgs were missing!!!

ugggh something must have gotten to them last night. I don't know how, we have a huge water trough that is the brooder. This just sucks, great way to start of the day!

I am so sorry to hear that, you must be devastated.
I know there is a very slim chance they will turn up, but i really really hope they do!

Thanks, well i have 24 days to come up with a cover for the brooder. Im surprised anything got to it, my neighbors have raised there chicks in the same kind of set up, even more basic and nothing has gotten into them.

Sorry, did you find any tracks, was the brooder broken in any way. If there's no damage then it was probably a person.

sorry about your chickies...its very strange indeed...no stray animals or wild ones snooping around?
i had my first chick die yesterday afternoon also
