Oh I am.

My mom said he probably just saved his own neck (she didn't like him for some extremely odd reason and wanted to get rid of him).

I can hardly wait to see what his kids will look like.

Delaware roosters are some of the best around. My Isaac is amazing--highly protective, a great mediator, and calm and easygoing around me. He even loves to have his chest rubbed. Plus he's big enough and very agile and could give a predator a run for its money. I don't think you can do better than a Delaware for a flock leader (though Barred Rocks are my first love).
