Yes more crazy questions! So how big do they get? I'm not familiar with them? I've heard about Jersey giants but this Roo looks huge.... are they (Orpingtons and Jersey Giants) comparable in size or are giants larger etc?

Jersey Giants are supposed to be bigger and taller...and a good breeder one will be.

Thor is a splash. They are cold hardy, great layers of brown eggs and big fluffy sweeties. They are friendly docile birds. This is Thor's sister, Athena she is a blue like her mom and dad

17 weeks old? Holy cow ... he's a big ol thing! Awww, and so sweet in your arms.

Has Athena started laying yet? Naw, probably not yet. Are you gonna hatch babies from Thor and Athena, when she does decide to lay? Ohhh, a thought ..... you can just drop me off some eggs, on your way across the country in the spring!

Kathy - I am going to have eggs later for sure...I am giving thor a nice harem...he will have Athena, the Delaware girls, my Splash Cochin Luna, and 1 maybe 2 Buff Orpington girls. I have some big Aussie girls that could handle him too. The nice thing...

Thor and Athena = all blue babies (corrected to add: they could give me some splash but they will not, Athena already said so)
Thor and Luna (giant cochin) = all splash babies

I am going to create my own big birds.... feathered legged and footed Orpingtons and all splash!

I do not expect Athena to lay for at least another month...probably longer
