beautiful eggs, i'm picking up 10 hens tomorrow golden comet sexlink, to go with our one ole lonely roo "bob" who lost his mate.. now he'll have 10 ladies!!!!!!!whodewhooo! u go bob!

I loved our red sex link, (my son's chicken) but the hawk loved her more.

She laid beautiful eggs.

If my BR would start laying again (from molting) I'll be hatching some BSL. (now that I've confirmed my welsummer roo is doing his job

) I promised my son we would hatch some so he can have a chicken again.

I have 8 red sexlinks (McMurray calls them Red Stars). We get 7 or 8 eggs per day. Rarely 6 & never less. As far as the plumage differences goes, they are a cross and as such will not be as consistent as a standard breed. They were bred for production and that they do well. When I was starting out in chickens I did alot of online research and decided I wanted sexlikk birds fro the beginning. I have not been sorry. Enjoy your girls, I know I do.

I'm glad to hear everyone loves their red sexlinks. I have an incubator full of them (42 to be exact). I can't believe the size/weight of the egg. Have you every hatched any out? I'm a little worried that they are so big & very porous. I'm on day 8 and will be candling again (did it last night and saw very good results)

Sorry to chime in late, but I had to comment. I love my RSL, she is s funny to watch and is so friendly.

She just started laying a couple of weeks ago and has had one a day. They are still consistently about 50gm in size. I wish I had some more.
