I made a deal

That is awesome! Just think how much better you will feel, and all the stuff you can buy for your chicks with all that extra money from not buying smokes!

Good luck, I did it!

Wait, so instead of quitting 'cold turkey', does this mean you are quitting 'warm chicken'?

I know I got the red water bases today like 4 of them they were pretty cheap 1.29 each I already have plastic jars here at home that fit them.
I saw more things I wanted lol so I am planning away.
We already have a chicken coop its fairly large about the size of a bed room it was used as a storage shed and has dirt floors so I figured I would use it for a coop
and my husband is going to make nesting boxes nail them against the walls with support under so it is sturdy.

The planning keeps me busy too

Maybe luke warm?

Not so hot on the smoke any more I think its time to quit I have been smoking since I was " dont smack me " ..........since I was a kid, around about 17 years now
:X

StormyMoon I had to do it your way, too--the slow cutting down. I eventually doled out how many cigs I was allowed each day and let myself "get used" to that. When I was down to 6 a day, having donw that for two weeks, I was finally ready both physically and mentally to quit.

I really believe being ready in my mind was the bigger battle for me. I did exactly as you did, too-- went back when the origional reason for quitting became less of a reason. Three times! I SOOOO feel for you-- this is hard! I have been a non smoker for 12 years now, and there are times when I smell a lit cig, I WANTTTTT!!! But one cig would be all it took to restart, so i look at it like an alcohlic friend helped me see --just DON'T have the "one"--ever.

Good luck to you and I'll pray for your success! I know the chickies really help with your motivation!

Aww thank you, and congrats on quitting .

They do motivate me so much its like they brought me back to life again.

"I know the chickies really help with your motivation!"

They sure will, and so will your hubby. Hell just show you another nest box or two, and it will be cake!

Congrats on getting more chicks and quitting smoking! That's a great incentive.

Good for you; great things to look forward to - baby chickens and better health...that is a great deal! My mother quit after smoking for 42 years. She just put them down one day and that was it. Hope you can too!
