I may like things clean (Update)...

I have had to adjust to not being able to flush feminine hygiene items. I no longer use certain items because wrapping it up and throwing it out instead of flushing is just gross. But, septic doesn't like those things....

I am glad you texted her and hopefully it will go OK.

Yeah I will most likely move the garbage can back in tonight. I figured it was better to just say something about it. I also found out my dad will definitely be helping me move (Thank god he only lives an hour away!) so I don't have to rely on her for anything.

So all is well for now. Hopefully I don't have to worry about her eating my food. Most all of it is either labeled or in my room now.

This program doesn't sound terribly organized??

3 weeks making you move seems harsh. Poor dad! Lucky you to have him!

Oh I know, I am VERY lucky to have him. I am also lucky he is retired and has the time to help me do things he wouldn't have if he was still working!

Yeah, I don't think the program is as organized as I thought coming in. I was expecting more of an introduction to the school with tours and everything. She mentioned we could get meetings with different admissions offices and whatnot, but I haven't heard anything else about it since I've been here. My emails also don't always get returned. I'm not too upset about getting to know the school because it is in a very bad area and I'm leaning more towards vet school instead of med school anyways. Also, apparently they knew we would have to move but never told us. So I have to pack everything up, then unpack, then I have to do it all over again! It's just terribly obnoxious.

I do really like my lab and I got really lucky with that though!

This made me remember another cultural potty conflict. Luckily not in my bathroom but in someone else I know, their roommate was under the opposite impression and thought literally anything could go down the drain and tried to flush the trash from a rib dinner, rib bones and all.

So far, so good. I've only found tissues in the garbage can so that works for me. She's still pretty weird, but that's better than having dirty TP in the garbage can! She was not happy when she asked when we can move and I said I already made plans to move with my dad on Friday. Oh well, she'll have to figure things out herself!

Will she continue to be your roommate? Or will that be re-assigned? If you are comfortable with continuing, perhaps your dad will help her move afer you are settled in the new room. And if not, this is an excellent time to get it changed.
