Thanks for the info, 1muttsfan. All spaces between rafters are blocked off with 1/2" gaps. House is sided with rough sawn oak with about 3/8" gaps. Windows are glass and locked (in the feed room). Door window covered with reinforced 1/8" mesh. Half-door opens into run.
Added more wire to the run. Nothing in the box trap, so I removed it.
More recently, a bear crushed my outer livestock fence (on the way in and the way out). It didn't hit the chickens, but mending the fence gets old pretty quick. Yes, 4-H chicken mom, keeping predators at bay is the hardest part about keeping anything!
