I don't get away much (usually because of my furry and feather-kids!) but when I do I obsess about my babies. And yes, admittedly call every day (at least) to check on them to assess any signs of trouble - what can I say? I need a twin sister.

Emily/Emzyyy, I'm so sorry - that's really bad.

I know how you feel; I'm going to a camp all this week, after not seeing our broody hen's new chicks for 2 weeks now. I will see them today and tomorrow, but then I will be gone for a week...and then another week, so I will not see them for another 2 weeks!

I miss them. When they hatched a few weekends ago, I saw them for 2 days and then haven't seen them since then(They hatched on 6/12 to 6/14, and I haven't seen them since then!)

I had the babies out since they were 6 weeks old along side the adults pen so they could get a good look at each other and get used to the idea. Gosh, I think I did something right! I didn't want to rush things with them. I thought Charlotte was a boy for awhile there, she's HUGE! I believe she's a white plymouth rock.
