I get all my peanut butter from this company:
http://www.onceagainnutbutter.com/
You can order it online.

I buy the big 9 pound buckets and they last about a year! (Plus the buckets come in handy once the peanut butter is gone.) They're just their own little nut butter company, in no was associated with the big nasty Peanuts of America or whatever they're called. They make the best peanut butter I've ever had!

This is from their webpage:

Once Again Nut Butter is not in any way associated with the recent salmonella tainted peanut butter manufactured by Peanut Corporation of America in their Blakely Georgia facility.

Once Again Nut Butter does not use any co-packers for our nut butters. We purchase the vast majority of our peanuts from New Mexico (Valencia) and Argentina (Runners). We roast and process those nuts in Nunda, NY. All nuts are tested upon receipt and again as finished product prior to release.

Salmonella testing is part of our normal protocol on all finished products and is the core of our environmental monitoring program.

All products are released on a positive release basis. COA’s are available upon request.

If you have any additional questions or concerns please feel free to contact me directly.

I'm a JIF girl, through and through. If I was a mom, I'd be a choosy Mom. lol. And we haven't even slowed down on peanut butter consumption. It would be like giving up water. And Jif, to my knowledge, has not been affected. All the other brands are so cheap right now because of all of this. I keep looking for JIF to go down, too, but they haven't.
A good friend of mine works in a peanut butter plant in Louisville. He said they haven't been affected but because everyone else has, they are so busy they can't keep up and one of the companies they supply is JIF. So now they are actually hiring. A rare thing these days.

Hard to say if anything is safe. This peanut butter manufacturer knew hey might have a tainted product and put it out anyway. So far they only have the problem from the one place in Ga. Every time you eat something that you didn't grow yourself you take a chance. About the same odds as winning the lottery. I don't worry about it too much.

There was a little blurb on the news the other night about some peanut butter dog treats having the recalled peanut paste in it. I didn't recognize the name of the treats though. I know the Old Mother Hubbard peanut butter flavored biscuits I give my dogs haven't made them sick but I think I'll avoid buying PB treats for the dogs for a while, just in case.

Oh, and I'm a choosy Mom who only buys Jiff, or Smuckers Natural (to cook with) and we're still eating both brands with no ill effects.

MMM... today I had Girl Scout Cookies- MMM... Peanut butter Sandwiches and Peanut Butter Patties....MMMMMM

We've been eating PB. We use Peter Pan - no problem. I also purchased a whole box of peanut butter fudge crispy bars from Atkins nutrionals I have one almost every morning.

When I'm snacky I get a spoonful of PB now and then. What would we do without Peanut Butter?

*deb does the PB& J dance - peanut butter jelly time..peanut butter jelly time..*

I LIVE on the stuff!! I was scared to buy it again but after MUCH looking and subsequent sweating, terrifying thoughts LOL - I up and bought my regular Peter Pan Creamy and just ate some on toast!

YUM
