I Miss PEANUT BUTTER!!!!! My First Rant

Actually the peanut butter also can from the main plant in Texas as well. Peanut Butter Corp peanut butter is only in things like crackers and other things where peanut butter is added. Peanut butter in the jar, all brands have not been affected at all.

Peanut Butter rules! Let's go have some....

I have not been worring too much about the Peanut butter scare as I am dieting and try to stay away form it. I love it sooooo much. My favorite is the chunky Adams. Yah, I know you have to stir it but I tastes just like you roasted the nuts and ground them yourself. No additives what so ever. Our costco carries it but I don't buy it becasue it is just too tempting. I love bananas with a big dollop of peanut butter on them.

Our Fredy Meyer has a place where you can grind your own Peanut buttter. I think it is spendy but worth it if your afraid of canned stuff. Also Winco has one too.

Orignial Resses Peanut butter cups are to die for. I could eat loads of them. My fav. I eat off the chocolat and then eat the peanut butter goodness middle. Yummo. Now see why I can't have it in the house. I know Peanut butter is a good fat and good protein but If you don't have any will power like me, then it is better to do without. My cross to bear I guess. That and chocolat.

I never stopped eating it, though it's one of the things I do splurge on and get the 'better' brands, that make and pack their own... they don't use the stuff from that nasty place.

Everything I've read says it's mostly a problem for the companies that are using the prepared bulk product in cooking/recipes etc, not actual peanut butter.

I just got the 59th recall notice this morning at work. It include whole and granulated peanuts from the Texas PCA plant.

Imp-When I was a kid we used to give peanut butter to the dogs to watch them lick & lick & lick & lick etc. We thought it was so funny. Dogs never seemed to mind.

The Georgia budget came out today an had (if i heard right) $45,000 for more inspectors..... Inspectors with an "s," with $45,000. You have to be kidding me.

If you don't have to stir the oil into the butter before serving it aint peanut butter, it's peanut food product. Kinda like CheezeWiz aint aint cheese its cheese food product.

We get the stuff you grind yourself from either Freddy's or our local Co-Op. It's really not much more than the cheaper brands. I weaned my youngest son off of Jif (or skippy, whatever it was), I was trying to cut out hydrogenated oils and corn syrup. I just mixed the fresh stuff with what he was used to, more natural stuff each time until it was completely the fresh, plain peanut butter. Now it's the only kind of peanut butter he will eat.
