I moved them out to the coop!! I am freakin!

I lost all mine to a heat lamp...but they were older and could knock it down. Once they can fly up at perch..TAKE IT DOWN! Otherwise if it is very very very secure you should be okay. Keep bedding far away from it too.

Stacy! I'm so sorry!
I just got back from checking on my heat lamp and moved it higher. They just seemed cold, but the temp says 50 by the door. They should be fine under the lamp...right?
So... I can sleep now...

I put my 4 week olds in the coop yesterday, I set up a brooder light just incase the get cold, got down to 45 last night and I just went and checked on them, they're all fine! They share the coop with the big girls, although they were sperated by a pet fence. I knew they would be ok, and they love all the extra room!

Mine are doing fine as well, although they do not like their new roost. It has a poop shelf under it and they are afraid to get up on it. Should I add a smaller one closer to the floor or just wait for them to get more brave?

When you think of it, theses are really a throw back to wild birds, tougher than they may seem. Given the basics, they shoud be fine. I'll be doing the same thing in about a month, when it warms up more. Still in the 20's/30-'s at night...
