By the way, my name is Jenny, I am a hatchaholic, I have a Brower humidaire that will hold over 800 eggs, how do I know this....I have filled it....AND I have 7 styrofoam incubators that have been going at the same time. I am pretty dern good at the hatching game.

Thanks for showing me that I am not the only addict. Laura must have been surprised. My DH has given up and just goes along with me. I clean it, he cannot complain!

Mentioned to my son in law monday that someone on the forum built a chicken coop out of pallets, Wham bam last night he brought home 30-40 pallets for me to use. How can can quit with all these enablers lol
 
Ok, I have found the cure for more hatching

My BF has been admitted to the hospital for the second time in a month...... I am having a hard time keeping him happy, the chickens (dogs, cats, fish, horses) happy and getting to work. Oh, I forgot, I also have to find time to sleep !

So, sadly, I will not be putting any more eggs in the incubator until this is all over....... Until I have caught up on making more living quarters for my young pullets ..... And I have caught up on laundry, house cleaning and my SLEEP !

I was beginning to think that I was truely abnormal. Hubby hasn't helped as he thinks I'm nuts too. Just for grins, what other *addictions* do you have.

Mine? Horses, quilting, gardening, goats and cheesemaking. All mostly obsessions. Confession is good for the soul. Vicki

Edited to add that I haven't even gotten into hatching yet.....aaaaaaaarrrrrrrgggghhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hatching is TOTALLY the way to feed your addiction!!!!! Especially if you're hatching your own eggs. It's like you see the circle completed.

As we speak, DH is out in the rain building a bigger coop for me. My 'bator is completely full, I have a broody hen, I have eggs waiting downstairs to go in said full 'bator, and a shipment of eggs is due any day.

Please make room on the bus for me too!
