I need a chicken id.

Thanks! Birding is the best hobby out there! How much of a birder were you?
For me I honestly mostly based out of my house/woods so I definitely wasn't up to par with some of the experts who travel to migration hotspots and such. I did buy up every field guide/book I could find so was decent at identification, but I never really developed an extensive list of birds I've seen! The most interesting one I've spotted is probably the O'ahu 'elepaio which was exciting as it was more of a vacation nature tour and I just happened to see it following us. It was the first juvenile they'd seen in the area and the spotting was relayed onto conservationists I believe! Other than that most I saw weren't very notable! I love your pictures, the Bullock's Oriole and Black-Chinned Hummingbird (I believe?) are stunning!

Both right, also, if you hover of the photo with you mouse it will show the name.
One of the thing I really like about birding is that you can do it anywhere, and at any level you want.
Oh, if you decide to get back into birding check out: https://forums.whatbird.com/index.php(I hope this does not break any forum rules if so please edit my post.)

Hi, I am new to this forum, and I have a bird that seems to be a domesticated Chicken/Quail of some sort. Or at least I think so, but I will leave the identification up to you experts.
Today, north central Texas, hiding in the shade. Sorry for the less than great pics it was in a bad spot.
Thanks!
It lacks a tail, I say Quail. Not sure if it's Domesticated, or wild, since I don't know a whole lot about quail.

A Coturnix Quail is the Closest I can find to the one pictured.
