I think that the dimensions that the plans for the coop that you sent the link to ---8'X4'-- include BOTH the coop and the run!!!! People who sell coop plans or pre-made coop are well known for claiming that their coops will hold more chickens than are reasonably feasible!!!
You need appoximately 4 sq feet of COOP space and 10 sq feet of RUN space for each chicken!!! This will prevent picking and fighting. (Not problems that you want to encourage!!!)
I am not familiar with the weather in your part of TEXAS. If they will have to spend many days IN the coop due to cold weather, you may need MORE coop space!!
