I need a disagreement settled.....about watering your grass.

Fungus may or may not be an issue, depends on your climate and even your microclimate (believe it or not, even in the desert I have fungal problems in some areas). To prevent burning, all water should have evaporated from the plants' surface before it gets hot.

That is the problem we are not up early to water can't be on a timer either if we are moving the sprinkler manually....but dh does believe that the sun burns the grass I say it does and tell him not too water when we get up that is the hottest parts of the day....I say to water in the evening.....not worried about fungas here never have had a problem with that here.

I don't water my grass. Less mowing when it turns brown

I'm totally with you on that! Grass naturally goes dormant in the summer heat. Why tamper with nature by watering? If only I could go dormant in the summer heat..........and hibernate in the winter.........
