I need a good recipe for GROUND deer meat...Anyone

I would agree that ground venison is great- use it just as you would ground beef. If you are worried about it tasting "gamey" then use it in something like tacos, or meatloaf- something you would season heavily.

I made venison chili the other night. I browned the ground venison in bacon fat. That's the only thing I did different than when I use ground beef.

And, my son loved it! This from the child that doesn't eat venison.

We use deer meat a lot. Right now I'm working on summer sausage. I tried stuffed peppers this past summer and it was increadibly good!!! DH said it was better than beef. I fry deer burgers a lot, don't add any other meat to it, just freeze it flat in ip lock bags and fry while frozen, when half cooked I cut into quarters and flip, oh yea i use veggy oil for frying, but you could use bacon grease instead, yummy!!!

I do this all the time with any game we get is brown it and add any flavoring you want. Then I mix up some bread and put the ground meat and some cheese and wrap it in the dough. Then bake them as you would rolles in a 9x13 pan. Then I cut them apart and freeze them. All you have to do is pop them in the Microwave and you have a fast snack

I like the taste of deer. with ground meat I just cook it like beef I have used it in hamburger helper or in spagetti sauce. Yummy!!!

I make a killer stew with it.
1 lb ground deer meat
1lb ground hamburger
1 onion chooped
Brown both meats together with onion until bown not pink
add 6-8 cups of water
add cubed potatoes
let simmer
add 2lb bag of frozen mixed vegetables salt and pepper to taste
I make this in under 1/2 hour when I am running late. If you cube the potatoes and nuke them for 10 minutes it cuts the prep time down.
The combination of the two meas makes a very tasty dish.

my BIL said you can make Jerky out of ground deer meat, anyone got a recipe, I like jerky but I use chunks of meat and slice thinnly to go on the dyhyrdator. Thanks

Yep..deer jerky is tops here, although we use the other cuts the same as beef. I do occassionaly add ground pork to the burgers.

For the jerky, I slice thin put in a ziplock bag with our favorite spices-onion salt, garlic powder, ground red pepper, worchestershire sauce, soy sauce and a Tiny bit of liquid smoke. I often leave of the liquid smoke because it takes such a small amount if you overdo it it isn't good. I marinade at least 24hrs.
