That's a bit on the high side, higher humidity can make them grow larger which would mean they could hatch earlier. Idk though.55 to 60
Maybe they're just early hatchers.

It is a Farm Innovator I picked up at TSC. the unit itself functioned well. But I'm glad I had my independent thermometer and hygrometer. The temp was spot on, But the humidity was reading 9% low. The unit maintained the correct humidity fine but the hygrometer on it was offWhat kind of incubator specifically is it?

Never heard that one.<scratcheshead>That's a bit on the high side, higher humidity can make them grow larger which would mean they could hatch earlier
Lol! I have heard it several places, including a chicken book, but I have never really experienced it. I know it makes them stickier though.Never heard that one.<scratcheshead>
High humidity affects the amount of moisture that exits the shell.
Can lead to wet/sticky chicks and drowning after internal pip.
Tracing air cell when candling on days 7-10-14 can help monitor that.
No I ordered these. I have 18 Dominique Hens and I have been looking for some roosters for 6 months and couldn't locate a single one in the state of California. So I figured out of 36 eggs I should get a few Roo'sOh, ok.
Sounds like you did well. I'm guessing there was just some hot spots.
Were the eggs yours?
Any chance they could have developed a bit before they were set?
Oh, can you candle them then? When I got home last night, which would be day 20, I had 5 more that had hatched. So I now have 14 hatched, and 16 still in the incubator. I am a little concerned this morning, being day 21, I checked the 16 remaining in the incubator, and I see no signs on any of them of pipping.
Had you candled throughout the incubation to make sure all were developing? When I got home last night, which would be day 20, I had 5 more that had hatched.
